First impression of TISS

Since i have completed my almost half of the semester and gearing up for mid semester exams, so this is ideal time to write about TISS. The TISS(Tata Institute of Social Science), you know from out side is totally different from inside. When I started my quest for post graduation last year, I gave TISS.Net exam like other exams and I just wanted to apply for course of management and Human resource like everybody but going through deep inside the courses, I found out about hospital and health courses and applied for them as well but as per TISS, I was confused about what I wanted to do(they were actually right, :P) , so was rejected. So as always life moved on with job in IT as software developer.

Job was pretty good and people were good around you but my hunger for master's education was here to stay. So again, i applied for TISS.Net, managed to get pretty good score in written test and so was a call for personal interview and essay writing. So finally the D day came when i had to give my Personal interview and essay writing. PI was good , so does essay writing. So now the wait period started for final results and the question "will i will able to make it?". The results were declared and my name was there in list ( whooppy , i was selected for TISS, a big joyous moment in life ). That's how tiss happend for me.

After completing all the formalities of joining, i was handed over a joining letter which appeared to be a fake provisional admission letter ( i was going to show it in my office to get early release & was sure that my office will suspect something fishy after seeing this offer letter :P ). During admission process met few people like Prabha Pal who came with her father to take admission and i just asked her few general questions like in which course are you taking admission?. After few days we were given a schedule for orientation to TISS culture which will last for 3 days ( 3 days orientation ?? are you kidding me?? who keeps such a long orientation ). So i called up my few friends in other B-Schools to know "do they have anything like that " and they told straight forward NO ( U see first impression of tiss).

First day of orientation and it starts off by a short and sweet speech by our deputy director and then rituals followed for 3 days. There is one committee in tiss called CASH committee. When i first heard about it, i thought it might be providing some cash benefits to students for their daily chorus like drinks and sutta ( Being a Baniya, CASH is money ) but on 2nd day of our great orientation, i came to know that CASH is acronym for Committee Against Sexual Harrasement ( You see first impression ) and ironic part is that it provides protection to only females ( TISS has more of female students :P). How can i forget that pathetic dance by our seniors to conclude our great orientation ( :P ), though it was a big relief after 3 days for great orientation.

How can i leave our great canteens which offer us a daily changing menu where you get some of the best parotha, upma, great poha and if you are lucky, you might get dabeli but you will never get all of it on same day, they represent different days of week. DH(Dinning hall) people provide every kind of food available in india on different days, so everybody feels like home but i must tell you they make awesome curries ( finger licking curries ).

That's all for now.
Other great things in next blog.
Till then keep rocking

Why I Support AAP

Why i Support AAP( Aam Aadmi Party)

Lot of people have pinpointed why i support AAP, when everybody is running around with Modi and His Sarkar. Let me first tell you why i am not supporting Our great grand party Congress and Our proclaimed protector of  india BJP. Those who follow indian politics, they all know what congress has done for Aam AAdmi in last sixty years. Who helped quattrochi (he is the one responsible for Bhopal gas tragedy) to fly away from india and not face a single charges for mass killing of people and famous
Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum case where a divorced woman is not entitled for alimony from their former husband. So congress a back stabber which will change its decisions depending upon their benefit and their are many more example to site.

Let me start with BJP
BJP is fighting against corruption, so what was the point in gettting Yeddurappa Back in BJP and not taking action against Reddy brothers, these are convicted criminals in corruption cases. By choosing BJP, we are giving somebody a license to run authoring government where one man dictates what is good for others.
So you might say, why take a chance with AAP who didnt have the guts to run a state government. In delhi BJP was the party with majority but they didnt form a government, so it came to AAP and they did form a minority government and to implement anything you need atleast 50% majority to pass it from VidhanSabha which AAP didn't had, so it was natural decision to quite and seek a full mandate from people.
What would you get by supporting AAP, may be nothing in short term but long term goals are unlimited which will benefit us and provide a much needed cleaning work in our politics, give a chance to common man to join politics and be the change maker, better utilisation our tax money, better implementation of policies and many more. Do Vote for AAP
